The Innovative Micro-Electro-Mechanical Ultrasonic Components and Ultrasonic System Laboratory (CATS) was founded in 2018 with the purpose of "harmony", "concentricity" and "encourage innovation" to provide a warm and positive learning environment for graduate students.

Our lab is founded in 2018 at 10th floor of EE building. The purpose of this lab is to provide a creative, fruitful, and joyful environment for young researchers to discover their future. Our research topics is surrounding by ultrasound, including developing of novel ultrasonic transducers, cutting-edge ultrasound systems, and state-of-the-art algorithms. Recently, we have demonstrated photoacoustic imaging system, acoustic droplet levitation, ML-based ultrasound aquaculture recognition, acoustic pyrometer, and devices for ultrasound haptics.
